Should You Refinance Your Car Loan?
Your balance, your rate, the months you have left — and what a new offer would actually change.
This page is for anyone carrying a car loan taken out when their credit, or the market, looked different than it does now. Enter your balance, rate, and the months remaining, then the offer's rate, term, and any fees. You will see the new payment, your monthly saving, the month you break even, and the total cost of each path. No account, no credit check, nothing to sign.

When is an auto refinance worth it?
Auto loans are short, and that changes the arithmetic. On a mortgage a small rate improvement has decades to compound; on a car loan with three years left it may have very little to work with — so the fees matter more, in proportion, than the rate does. The upside is the mirror image: auto refinances often carry little or no upfront cost, and when the cost is zero there is nothing to recover, so a lower payment starts saving you money immediately. The other half is the term. Stretching a loan back out will lower the payment and can quietly raise what you pay in total, and on a depreciating asset that is worth knowing before you sign. RefiFastCalc computes both — what you save each month, and what the whole loan costs.

How the math works
The calculator compares your current loan against the offer you are considering. Monthly savings is your current payment minus the new payment. Break-even is your total refinance cost divided by that monthly saving, rounded up to the next whole month.
